I'm Leeroy Powell. I build businesses from Sheffield, in the North of England. Not London. Deliberately.
I run MarGen, a GEO and AEO agency helping B2B companies get cited by AI — not just ranked by Google. I built MyAutoBot, an AI phone automation platform for service businesses that can't afford to miss calls. I publish through RedBridge Media, including the eCom Insider newsletter. And I'm building FU7URE, because the North of England has more AI talent and grit than it gets credit for.
Before all this, I spent years in digital marketing, ecommerce, and operations. I've been in the trenches — running campaigns, managing teams, launching products, dealing with the unglamorous reality of keeping a business alive. That background shapes everything I build now.
Why This Site Exists
I got tired of not having a single place that said: here's who I am, here's what I think, here's what I'm building. LinkedIn is performative. X is fragmented. A personal site is the one thing you actually own.
leeroy.uk is where I write about building businesses, using AI as an operator (not a hobbyist), thinking about identity and purpose, and building something meaningful from a place that isn't a tech hub — yet.
What I Believe
That the best businesses are built by people who've done the work, not just studied the theory. That AI is the most important shift in a generation and most people are sleepwalking through it. That the North of England is full of builders who just need the ecosystem to match their ambition. That directness is a kindness. That you can be intellectual and practical at the same time.
